After arriving in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, and completing the visa formalities, we will pick up our “homes on wheels” and get to know all their features.

We will receive driving training for African road conditions and learn the essential safety rules, allowing us to feel confident behind the wheel.

Our first destination is the Namib Desert – the oldest desert in the world.

On the way, we will stop in Solitaire, famous for its delicious apple pie, which is a must-try. Some even consider it the best apple pie in the world! You can decide for yourself.

We have approximately 300 km of driving ahead of us. We will leave the city behind and immerse ourselves in Namibia’s wild landscapes. Upon arrival, we will check in at a campsite near Sesriem.

At sunset, we will head to Sesriem Canyon to admire the changing colours of the desert.

We will wake up before sunrise and head into the heart of the world’s highest sand dunes, some reaching up to 400 metres in height. Our goal will be to climb one of these spectacular dunes.

Next, we will take a walk across the dried-up Deadvlei, where the white salt pan contrasts dramatically with the intense red of the surrounding dunes and the black, sun-scorched trees.

This surreal and mysterious landscape never fails to make a huge impression on visitors.

After lunch in the shade of acacia trees, we will head towards the famous Dune 45, one of Namibia’s most iconic dunes. Its name comes from its location at kilometre 45 of the road leading to Sossusvlei.

The afternoon will be dedicated to relaxing. In the evening, we will head to a viewpoint to admire the sunset over the desert landscape.

We will spend the night in the Sesriem area.

After breakfast, we will set off towards Swakopmund, a charming coastal resort town known for its distinctive colonial architecture, built by the Germans in the desert more than 100 years ago.

Colourful buildings, well-kept streets and German-inspired order blend beautifully with the rugged surroundings of the desert and the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 4 – Walvis Bay & Sandwich Harbour

After breakfast, we will set off for an exciting day trip. We will head to the Walvis Bay harbour, where we will board a catamaran and sail out onto the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Among the cold waters, we will have the chance to feed seals that jump onto the boat and take a selfie with a huge pelican.

A local guide will tell us more about this fascinating area. With a little luck, we may also spot dolphins and even whales in the wild.

The cruise will be accompanied by a tasting of fresh local oysters and a glass of sparkling wine.

In the afternoon, an exciting adventure awaits us – a 4x4 expedition across the golden dunes. With the help of experienced drivers, we will reach the extraordinary Sandwich Harbour, where the endless desert meets the ocean.

Our guides, specialists in off-road driving, will take us on an exhilarating ride across the sand dunes. At low tide, we will also follow the famous route directly beneath the dunes along the ocean – a road that completely disappears beneath the water at high tide, known as Lange Wand.

We will end the day by admiring the sunset over the ocean, followed by a seafood dinner at a local restaurant.

We will spend the night in rooftop tents under the stars.

After breakfast, we will leave Swakopmund and travel along the coast towards Spitzkoppe, a spectacular mountain range often referred to as the “Namibian Matterhorn.”

Along the way, we will stop at a shipwreck near Henties Bay and then continue to Cape Cross.

The area is famous for its colony of around 200,000 Cape fur seals, as well as the historic crosses erected by Portuguese explorer Diogo Cão in 1486.

After breakfast, we will set off on a trekking adventure with a local guide around the spectacular Spitzkoppe area.

During the hike, we will admire extraordinary rock formations and desert landscapes while learning more about the history and wildlife of this unique place.

In the afternoon, we will continue towards Palmwag. Along the way, we will keep our eyes open for wild animals.

Today we will travel north, all the way to the Angolan border, to the majestic Epupa Falls, where we will have time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

At sunset, we will head to the banks of the falls to admire their spectacular beauty as the last rays of sunlight illuminate the landscape.

After breakfast, we will meet the Himba people in one of the nearby villages.

The Himba are one of the last communities in Africa to preserve a traditional semi-nomadic lifestyle, with livestock herding playing an important role in their daily lives.

We will have the opportunity to learn about their culture, customs and everyday life. We will discover, among other things, why Himba women cover their hair and skin with a distinctive reddish-brown ochre mixture.

This unique encounter offers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Africa’s cultural diversity.

In the afternoon, we will relax by the pool and prepare for the next few days of adventure.

A long drive awaits us as we head straight to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s most famous national park and a true paradise for wildlife enthusiasts.

The park is home to 144 species of mammals, including elephants, black rhinos and zebras. We may also encounter lions, cheetahs and leopards, as well as the iconic oryx, whose image features on the emblem of the Namibian army.

Immediately after arrival, we will head out on our first safari of the trip, this time in the evening.

Today brings another exciting safari in Etosha National Park.

An early start gives us the opportunity to observe animals during their morning activities. Many predators are active at this time, while herds set out in search of food and water.

Our final day of exploring Etosha National Park will be dedicated to discovering more of its spectacular landscapes and observing its incredible wildlife.

Today we will drive to the Waterberg Plateau, which rises dramatically above the surrounding plains of Namibia.

Located in the central part of the country, the area is known for its spectacular views and rich flora and fauna.

We will go on a trekking adventure, where we may encounter white rhinos, African buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, various species of antelope and reptiles such as the savanna monitor.

After returning from the trek, we will enjoy dinner around the campfire and spend our final night camping.

We will start the day with our last African breakfast surrounded by nature.

After packing our luggage, we will begin our journey back to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek.

Upon arrival, we will refuel the vehicles and return them to the rental company.

In the evening, we will enjoy our last farewell dinner together at one of the local restaurants.

After breakfast, we will head to the airport for our flight back.
