TRIP ITINERARY

Departure from Copenhagen to Nuuk.
We’ll spend the day visiting the capital of Greenland.In the evening, we’ll set off on an overnight journey to Ilulissat — a name that literally means "icebergs" in Greenlandic.
On board the ferry, we’ll have access to hot meals, warm showers, a bar, and even the chance to play cards with the locals.

A relaxing day on the ferry — during the cruise, you'll have the chance to observe the stunning Arctic nature.
Along the way, the ferry will stop at small ports, offering a glimpse into remote coastal life.Overnight on the ferry.

After lunch on the ferry, we arrive in Ilulissat.
We’ll head to the hotel to freshen up after the journey, and in the afternoon we’ll set off on a city walk, exploring the historical corners of this town, founded in 1741.

We leave Ilulissat early in the morning and head north by boat to reach the famous EQI Glacier — one of the most spectacular natural wonders in Greenland.
Once we arrive, we’ll stop near the towering ice wall and turn off the engines to admire the breathtaking scenery in complete silence. A packed lunch will be served on board.
In the afternoon, we return to Ilulissat. The entire excursion takes around 6 hours.

On this day, we’ll go on a 4-hour trek just outside the city, following a beautiful coastal trail along Disko Bay.
Along the way, we’ll see icebergs as massive as buildings, stuck on the underwater moraine at the mouth of the Kangia Icefjord. There they wait — sometimes for weeks — until they break into smaller pieces and begin their journey carried by sea currents.

After breakfast, we’ll set off by boat to the picturesque settlement of Oqaatsut.
During the cruise, we’ll admire some of the most impressive icebergs in the Northern Hemisphere.
Oqaatsut, once a popular trading post, was named Rodebay (“Red Bay”) by Dutch whalers in the 18th century.
During the trip, lunch will be served. Before returning to Ilulissat, we’ll have time to explore the village, stroll among its colorful houses, and enjoy a short walk around the surrounding area.

Depending on the most convenient flight connection, we’ll spend the last day either in Greenland (in Nuuk or Sisimiut) or in Reykjavík or Copenhagen.
Any adjustments will be made by the local guide, based on weather conditions and the best possible timing for each experience.

Whale Tour
We will sail towards the ice fjord, approaching the majestic iceberg, which made this place famous all over the world. Our skipper will actively look for glows and humbacks, which appear in large numbers in the area of Ilusat from the end of May to late autumn.

Immerse yourself in the fresh ocean air, the sounds of distant wild nature and feel the regenerating power of geothermal water. With a little luck you will have the opportunity to admire the northern lights of the 70-meter endless bank of the lagoon.

The official language is Danish and Greenland . In tourist meatures, you can also communicate in English.

In Greenland, which is almost the best air quality in the world , there is a polar and subpolar on the coasts, with an average temperature not exceeding 10 ° C in the warmest summer months, although in the southern part of the country the mercury may rise to over 20 ° C in June, July or August, while from November to April there is a temperature below zero.
However, even in the colder months, thanks to the low humidity, the feeling of cold is not as severe as one would expect. Summer is a time when the sun does not set - there is a polar day here. The analogous phenomenon is the winter polar night, when for a certain number of days a year the sun stays below the horizon line 24 hours a day.
However, it should be borne in mind that the weather can change very rapidly !

The time difference between Poland and Greenland is 4 hours (when there are 12 in Poland, there are 8 in Greenland).
A change in summer and winter time occurs at the same time as in Europe.

In Greenland, the official currency is the Danish Crown (DKK).

The possibility of paying by card is common, but it's always worth having some cash with you.
Recommended pocket money: 2000/4000 DKK (depending on whether we plan to dine in restaurants or bring freeze -dried food and whether we take part in additional attractions).
