This is a self-drive trip, and the cars will be driven by participants who volunteer to take the wheel.
A Polish driving license is sufficient in Madeira, and traffic drives on the right-hand side.

Trip Itinerary

  • We’ll kick things off with a relaxing evening check-in and a friendly get-together over Portuguese wine.

  • A scenic walk along the São Lourenço Peninsula — one of Madeira’s most iconic landscapes, perfect for photography and ocean views.

    Lunch and shopping at a local market — discover the flavors of the island at Santo da Serra or the famous Farmers’ Market in Funchal.

    Afternoon in Funchal — enjoy a relaxed walk through the charming capital or join an optional catamaran cruise for a chance to spot dolphins and admire the island from the sea.

  • Sunrise at Pico Ruivo — experience the magic of dawn from the highest peak in Madeira. A moment you won’t forget.

    Visit to the colorful traditional houses in Santana — charming, postcard-perfect cottages that showcase the island’s unique heritage.

  • Walk through the enchanted Fanal Forest — wander among ancient laurel trees in one of Madeira’s most mystical landscapes.

    Visit to the charming town of São Vicente, home to the iconic Chapel of Our Lady of Fátima, nestled in the hills.

    Relaxation time on the black sand beach of Seixal and in the natural volcanic pools of Porto Moniz.

  • Levada walk – PR16
    Join us for a scenic walk along one of Madeira’s famous levadas. We’ll pass through one of the island’s longest tunnels (1 km) and discover hidden waterfalls deep in the forest.

    End the day above the clouds with a spectacular sunset from Madeira’s third-highest peak.

  • Visit to the coastal town of Ponta do Sol — one of the sunniest places on the island, perfect for a relaxed stroll.
    We’ll also stop by the unique Dos Anjos waterfall, which cascades directly onto the road — a favorite photo spot!

Practical information

  • The official language in Madeira is Portuguese. English is widely spoken in tourist areas

  • Madeira has a subtropical, maritime climate.
    Summers are warm, with temperatures ranging between 20–26°C. Winters are mild, with temperatures around 16–18°C.

    Keep in mind that the weather can change very quickly, so it's important to always be prepared for both strong sun and sudden rain.

  • Madeira is located in the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Moroccan coast. It is part of Portugal as an autonomous region.

  • The official currency is the euro (€). Cards and mobile payments are accepted in most placesv

  • Polish citizens do not need a visa. Entry is possible with either a national ID card or a passport (valid for at least 6 months)

  • No special vaccinations are required.

    Holders of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) can access public healthcare services free of charge in emergency situations.

    All participants are also covered by travel insurance.
